"It's Time" for Mike Pyle

When this month’s Affliction show was postponed, many of the fighters were left to wonder if they would have to wait until the rescheduled date next year or if they’d get an opportunity to fight before then.

Luckily for them, the promotion stepped up and helped many of the scheduled fighters find spots on cards for various promotions, including this weekend’s Superfights MMA show, which ironically takes the place of Affliction’s scheduled event at the Thomas and Mack Center on Saturday night in Las Vegas.

Among those who were able to get on the card, produced in association KC Concepts, the company of UFC heavyweight champion Randy Couture’s wife Kim, is welterweight standout Mike “Quicksand” Pyle.

He will be making his debut in his adoptive hometown of Las Vegas when he takes on MMA veteran Brian Gassaway this weekend.

“I’m ready to take on Brian Gassaway,” stated an enthusiastic Pyle. “I’m in great shape, ready to do it, so let’s do it.”

Currently Pyle is riding a three-fight winning streak this year, and he’s looking forward to fighting on the card with a multitude of teammates, as well as helping Kim Couture out in the promotion side of things.
